. . . yea, let God be true, but every man a liar . . . --Romans 3:4

Concerning ALL Bible Versions . . .

Now, before we compare any Bible Version with another, or in fact, even before we READ God's Word, we have to realize some things. God does not lie! His Word doesn't lie either, right? In fact, everything about God, must be ground in Truth, right? Righteousness loathes lies. Truth casts light upon the darkness of lies. Let's face it, lying, is a sin. And let it be known this, that even ONE LIE, makes a person or a thing, a LIAR. When choosing things that are godly, righteous, holy, and True, we cannot settle for the "lesser of the two evils" because even the lesser, is evil.

Putting this into effect when comparing Bible Versions, we cannot allow ourselves to say, "Oh, that's okay" if we find that a book claiming to be the very Words of God, lies. This is not okay, because anyone can come along and say that our God lies. Or else they can claim that the Bible, which is supposed to be the Word of God, has so many mistakes in it, that it cannot be true. Thus we have Satanists and Atheists saying that Jesus Christ was no Saviour of all mankind.

The Bible is something we must remember as very dear to us. Without the Word of God, how can we even know that Jesus Christ died for our sins? We cannot. Our Belief and Faith in the Lord Jesus, is not based upon the words of men, but the very Words of God! And one little lie can ruin it all, and have it tumbling down. But the True Word of God, would not lie, would it? Definitely not. The Word is a Rock, a Firm Foundation that cannot crumble . . . unlike the shifting sand of the words of men!

Take a look at the following table. This shows the comparison of a verse which is most often changed by New Versions of the Bible, into a lie. The Table below focuses on the difference among a few Versions of the Bible (A few, not many). Put your mouse over each comparison, and the whole verse should pop up for a closer, personal comparison. The above standards should alone make us throw out those Bible versions which make the Word of God, a lie (But rest assured, there are many more comparisons later on).

The Verse in question: Mark 1:2 "As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee."

Verse KJV AMP NASB NIV
Mark 1:2 the prophets the prophet Isaiah Isaiah the prophet Isaiah the prophet
Note: Not all Editions of Bible Versions are the same

Now, we can clearly see the difference between the versions, right? One says "Prophets" while the others say "Isaiah" the prophet. Well, we see the difference, but the part that matters, is what that difference is. To get an understanding, look at what is supposed to be said by "the prophet" (Isaiah, according to the new Versions). "Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee." Who said that? Malachi! Let's look in Malachi 3:1 "Behold, I shall send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me . . ."

However, according to the New Versions listed, Isaiah said it! Nowhere did Isaiah say such a thing! Search the entire Book of Isaiah, and you will NOT find the prophecy in verse two. Therefore, the New Versions just lied right there.

Now, you WILL find what the Prophet Isaiah said, in VERSE THREE, which says "The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight." (Isaiah 40:3) Yet he did not say what is in verse two. Therefore, the newer versions which say "Isaiah" said such, speak a lie! Yet the King James Bible, which says "the prophets" does not lie. So far, we can throw out those versions that have lied, and keep the one that has not made God out to be a liar or made His Word Contradict itself.

All in all, it must be stressed that when handling the different versions of the Word of God, a Lie cannot be found in the True Word of God. Nor can there be any contradiction because of Mark 3:24. Nor even can it have any added words, nor words taken away as warned in Deuteronomy 4:2, Proverbs 30:5-6, and Revelation 22:18-19.

Some have asked me, why it is such a bad thing if these versions were done with good intentions. Let it be very clear, God's Truth, is much higher than any "good intentions" we may have. There are no exceptions to going against what God has said. God does not say, "If you murder with good intentions, then it's okay." No, He says, "Thou shalt not kill." Are you one to say to God when you stand before His Throne in judgment, "Look, I know I didn't listen to you, but I had good reasons to disobey, I had good intentions! You have to forgive me!" It won't work. And if anyone tells you otherwise, that person is a liar and does not seek the well-being of your soul or eternal life!

That being said . . .
