Reading the King James Version

When we choose to read the King James Version, we have to remember that not even the King James Version is the same with all editions. There have come out, more recently, different editions of the King James Version, which have very little changes in them, which corrupts the Word of God even if the small changes are certain "words." Any tampering with the Word of God, corrupts it.

So, to make things a little easier, the King James Version which should be chosen, is the "Authorized King James" Version or Bible. It's also known as the Authorized Version, or the AV for short by some people. However, even this is not always a full-proof way of being sure the wording has not been tampered with. For example, I've seen some "Authorized King James" Bibles, who have "waters" in place of "deep" in Genesis 1:2.

Still many others take liberty to change the spelling of the Authorized King James Bible, or capitalize certain words, or change the punctuation. That may seem harmless in some places, but shouldn't be done either because it risks further tampering.

So, when you are looking for a King James Bible to read, first look for an "Authorized King James" Bible. That shows it is from the original King James Bible of 1611. Then, be wary if you find there are footnotes (with footnotes, might also come changes in the text. Not to mention footnotes may cause doubt or take your eyes off the Words of the Word of God. Some footnotes may only be references to different verses, which is fine, just be careful). Second, be wary if they have changed capitalization, even more if they have changed Spelling.

If you are a bit worried, then try to find a place that knows the dangers of messing with the Text of the Bible. They probably have done their research to make sure they do not sell a corrupted King James Bible. Just remember always to keep your eyes out for corruption. Even a small corruption in an Authorized King James Bible, can be like eating an apple with a part that is rotten. Even if it's a small part, as you eat more and more, you can still get sick over time from eating all those rotten parts from the apples! Right?

So just remember to be careful, know what you're looking for before you get it, and remember that "every word" of God is pure. He even takes note of a jot or title, the smallest and most unimportant letter in the alphabet, and even a part of a letter is important to Him!

I've been using the same Bible for about Six years now and my is it getting worn out! If you want to buy a King James Bible online, you might be able to get one from AV Publications. They are careful of what they sell. Here you go: AV Publications.
